Mitch Bartle is from Holsworthy, New South Whales, Australia. He’d been living in Canada for a couple years and then discovered School of the Arts in Nelson. He chose the program for it’s location and price point.
Mitch graduated from the Digital Arts Program in April 2019 and landed a job straight out of Selkirk College at Yeti Farm Creative in Kelowna. Check out his video Kingsland.

Mitch embraced the School of the Arts experience getting involved on campus at major college events such as Career Fair and RobotGames. He was eager to showcase his own learning while highlighting Digital Arts programming.
The best part about studying at Selkirk College was the instructors as they genuinely care about your success. They help guide you in the right direction, and push you further than you ever thought you could go.
In his new career, he is working as a 2D Animator which involves key positioning and animating as well as frame-by-frame animation. In the Digital Arts Program he honed his skills in programs like After Effects and Premiere Pro, which furthered his understanding of other programs like Toon Boom Harmony that he currently uses for work.
I had never worked with animation before going to Selkirk College but I knew it was something I was very interested in. The Digital Arts Program helped me understand how animation works down to a science.
