Rooted in a Dynamic City Centre…
Our Trail Campus is located in the heart of “The Silver City’s” downtown. Known as the “Home of Champions” and “BC’s No. 1 Sports Town,” Trail (population 7,600) is a city rich in athletic and cultural history. Proud of their European heritage, intricate rock walls, artistic murals and covered stairways, the city is a living testament to honouring the past and moving forward with modern innovation.
The Learning Environment…
Classroom learning for the Digital Fabrication & Design Program takes place at Selkirk College’s Trail Campus. Hands on experience takes place at Selkirk Technology Access Centre (STAC), a FabLab (Fabrication laboratory) that provides access to the equipment needed for digital fabrication and rapid prototyping, as well as project working areas, a research and development lab, a metal shop, a wood shop, a computer lab and a training centre.
Please note that the first five weeks of this program includes a Manual Trades and Bench Skills component which takes place at the Silver King Campus in Nelson. Collaboration with Selkirk College Applied Research & Innovation will also enhance learning.
